Brief History...

How we ended up here is quite a mystery even to this day. We set out with the goal of spinning the traditional 'salon' on it's head. Both founders of Hair Kandi were non-hairdressers who wanted to create a new hairdressing business from the outside, in.

Customer orientated from day one, Hair Kandi grew quickly in it's local neighbourhood of Ecclesall Road. We catered for local students, trendy types and young professionals, but found that Sheffielder's from all walks wanted a piece of the unique vibe that we were creating.

A home from home for our clients and stylists, we attracted plenty of attention from our humble beginnings. We forged a team to be proud of, but it was obvious we were quickly growing out of our Ecclesall Road premises.

In 2010 and after 2 years of preparation Hair Kandi finally matured and we moved into our new home, the former Barclays bank, at the junction of Glossop Road and West Street, in Sheffield's Devonshire Quarter.

After a successful launch event that attracted over 200 guests we're now looking forward settling into day to day life, delivering hair cuts and treatments to the highest standard, and most importantly of all looking after our loyal client base.
